26 Weeks

Well, our little man has been very busy!  Along with the kicks and jabs, I'm starting to feel a bit more of his little body rolling and squirming around -- now that's a wild sensation!!  Sometimes his movements startle me because they've gotten so strong!  Last night, Charlie and I got into bed, and Mr. Rockaroo began quite the show!  I think he likes hearing daddy's voice...I'm sure he gets tired of hearing mine all the time!  Charlie put his hands on my belly and we just laughed and looked at eachother, making hilarious faces each time we felt the really big moves.  I can't explain the joy I feel watching Charlie experience this.  It's so special -- something I hope I never forget.

We are starting to prepare for our wee one's arrival.  We have signed up for our first birthing class and all of the furniture for his nursery has arrived.  We are still looking for the perfect glider/rocker, but I'm sure we will find something soon.  Charlie's parents will be here at the end of the month, and they are planning to help with preparing the nursery while I am busy with Summer Camp.  I'm so grateful for their offer to help, and I'm so excited to see them!  Now that Charlie is done with his first year of full-time teaching, he plans to kick baby-prep into high gear.  Hard to believe that once camp is over, we will only have about a month before Rockaroo arrives!

Right after camp, we hope I'll be cleared by the doc to travel home for a week.  That's right before Charlie starts school up again, so it'll really be the last week we have as a vacation together before we become a family of 3 (well, 5 really...can't forget Nala and Shenzi).  If we manage the trip back to Michigan, Mom Rockwell is hoping she can throw the barn party and all of our friends can come and hang with us!  We will try to find a way to see as many people as we can, and I will definitely need some time with my family.  Like Christmas, we will just try to cram as much family and friend time into a week as we can!  I must also be prepared to be told I won't be able to travel.  I'll be 32-33 weeks pregnant at that time.  As long as the pregnancy continues on the way it has, it shouldn't be a problem, but I don't want to get my hope too high!  We will have that time as a vacation, regardless of the plans we are able to fulfill.

Last night we went out to dinner and had a nice, quiet evening.  Thought I would share the date night photos we took.  :)
Charlie is just sooo handsome!!

I had fun showing off my bump in this pretty maternity dress I picked up from Old Navy.  I'm not sure I ordered the right size, because there isn't room for much growth...so I better wear it while I can!  Our little guy is growing like crazy!

In the middle of this week, I go see the doc for my glucose test.  We won't have any more appointments with the baby's doc unless my OB deems it necessary.  So for now, no more ultrasound pictures. That's fine by me, though!  No sono means happy and healthy baby!  I always look forward to seeing the doc so that I can hear his heartbeat.  :) I love this little boy so stinkin' much already!!
